Near Death Experiences

For my research on "What really happens after we die'' this week i sat on my computer and tried to think of where i can go. I went on Yahoo and typed in my question then clicked on the first thing that popped up (Probe Ministries) on this website they had many different perspectives on the afterlife. Some people (atheists) believe that there is no afterlife that we just die our souls don't even continue on existence basically all we look forward to is death, but by us having near death experiences it proves them wrong.

Near death experiences means your pronounced clinically dead not biologically. This means that basically your soul leaves the body and watches whats going on from above (Zukeran) seeing a light, entering a dark tunnel, seeing others, meeting a spirit, experiencing peace and then finally returning to the body. Many people have experienced it for example this girl that was near death was able to describe what her family did that night and ate. People can actually describe every little detail.

So by people having these experiences it still leaves many unanswered questions lingering around, like does something different happen to everyone? It just keeps me wanting to know more.

Making More Sense ...

For the second week of my research I thought I would ask my good friend, Erica whose pretty much into hockey as I am what her thoughts about banning fights in hockey were. We hardly see each other so I decided to message her on the computer via AIM. I asked her what she thought about the idea of the fights being banned and as she was typing her answer I noticed that my computer screen was kind of dirty and that I should probably go and clean it off. As I was getting up to go downstairs to grab some cleaner she had sent her answer to me.

She said after about what seemed to be a half hour of typing in bright red colored font "no why would you want to ban something that sells more and more hockey tickets each year. I like seeing someone get the living hell beat out of them by another player. Take the Ottawa/Buffalo brawl when Andrew Peters (Sabres) went after Ottawa's goalie Ray Emery. That was pretty priceless and entertaining and I was mad that I couldn't be there to see it in person. Plain and simple the more they fight the more it heightens the rivalry between the teams and sells more tickets so more people become hockey fans because of it."

I just sat there and stared at the screen rubbing my eyes because her response was pretty long an bright, but it made more sense to me and she was kind of right. The fights seem like they're the reason that the tickets are being sold. It seems that more people now a days are buying hockey tickets because they expect to see a fight or some kind of argument and get their moneys worth.

Procedures Done by Vets in Surgery- Week Three

As I sit here waiting for the computer to load, a new website I’m trying called infotrac, Mr. Malley (English teacher) told us about. I began to rub Bath and Body Works’ Cherry blossom hand sanitizer on my hands. By the way, the smell is awesome! The end of my enjoyment has come, my hands being clean and germ free was now over; it was done loading and I again began my search. I typed in “Procedures done by Vets done in surgery” but it seems that there was no results so I tried to rephrase it and put “Veterinarians doing Surgery”. This time it was successful. The options I seen were nothing I searched or had in mind of reading. So I clicked the first option anyways, what I was reading was stories of people and there pets. So I decide not to use this website. (Find.galegroup.com)

It’s back to google for me again. It’s so simple. So I typed in what I typed in infotrac, “Veterinarians doing Surgery” and tons of options came up. But first I wanted to know a little about it. Clicking on wikipedia for a description it says, “surgery performed on animals by veterinarians. Most veterinarians perform surgery, but it is also possible to specialize in surgery by becoming board certified”. So I wonder what board certified was. It’s basically “a designation earned by a person to assure that he/she is qualified to assure that he/she is qualified to perform a job”. (Google)(En.wikipedia.org)

So what are the procedures done by Vets in surgery? Each “patient” has to have a chart. The chart consists of “the surgery or other procedure was performed, exactly what was done, what follow-up medical procedures should now be carried out, what exercise routine is appropriate, and what foods the patient should eat and avoid”. (science.education.nih.gov)

On a website cuttingedgevet.com, I found something very interesting to my topic. It explained how Laser Surgery was a better option than Regular Surgery. Laser Surgery is "recognized in human and Veterinary medicine for its benefits to both the patient and the surgeon". Its carbon dioxide laser reduces pain, bleeding, swelling, infection, and makes a quicker recovery. Also this "procedure" smoothly cuts or removes the tissue. It cuts or removes the tissue. It is recommended for cyst removal, ear crop, neuter, and many other procedures. (www.cuttingedgevet.com)

2ND Blog

I began interviewing my family members first on their thoughts on infidelity but seeing as most of my family that I can actually come to and ask questions are men and they find nothing wrong with infidelitythat didn't work out too good. S I went to my second plan (plan B) I asked my friends They came up with some pretty good things. Here's what some of them said:

I asked My soon to be boyfriend A'marie Bolton and his reply was:

" Infidelity is a feeling of loneliness and emptyness and you want to fill it with the right thing but the thing you have isn't going to fill it, so you go else where to look for it, and when you find it or atleast think you have you want to have your cake and eat it too and when you get caught you tell your spouse that you didn't mean for it to happen like that but it has to be over for that given moment in time because he has or atleast thought he found something better." That one didn't help me out at all I was very confused so I asked my good friend Nakiyah Holman.

Nakiyah Said" Girl cheatin' is cheatin' no matter how you put it, reguardless of how you doin' it, where you doin' it or who your doin' it with it's cheatin'. It has the same effects on guys as it does women and it hurts no matter what it's a part of life get over it."

as you can see neither answer was clear at all so my search continues and hopefully I can do somemore research and figure out something.

Blog #1

I became interested in my top[ic when my boyfriend had cheated on me by having sex with another female and it having no effect on me what so ever but when he told me that he had found another female who could hold his attention and actually relate to what he was saying it made me feel like I wa going to lose this battle. I already know that some people handle relationships and infidelity in different ways , and that infidelity rates have gone up, and I also know that many Men are blaming their infidelity on their fathers. My big question is " WhyDoes It Hurt More When Your Spouse Cheats On You Mentally, than It Does When They Cheat On You Physically And Or Sexually?". My little questions are what are some of the mental and physical effects of infidelity?,What can result from some of the effects of infidelity?, Who Commits Infedility more men or women? Why Do thry do it?, and last but certainly not least is there any way to determine if your partner is being faithful?

week two in the search about nursing

For my research this week I went to Google and typed in licensed practical nurses. There was a lot of websites on LPN's so I just clicked on the first one. On the website there were different topics you could click on so I just clicked on the first one which was Nature of the work.

That part of the website talked about the jobs of nurses which are basically the same as what my aunt told me that she does at her job. I also read that in some states nurses are allowed to prescribe medicines to there patients which surprised me because I didn't think nurses were allowed to do that. I also learned that nurses sometimes have to work nights and on holidays. They also have to stand for long periods of time and move patients around.

After reading about the job of a nurse I thought I would look at a topics about nursing that I didn't know that much about which was the job outlook for LPN's. I read that the employment rate is going to increase for LPN's. This is good because that means I probably won't have that much trouble finding a job. They also need a lot of nurses to work in nursing homes which is where I would like to work

Reincarnation is it possible?

I started my search for "What really happens after we die". I went on (Google) and typed in reincarnation a whole bunch of websites came up but i went to (www.skepdic.com) it had a lot of interesting things about what happens. A lot of people believe in reincarnation its the belief that when you die your body is reborn in another and you live life all over again. Reincarnation also seems to answer alot of unexplained situations. For example When people are put under hypnosis we often remember things from a past life.

If reincarnation is possible they say that it can explain why "Good things happen to bad people and Bad things happen to good people" Its called Karma your being punished or rewarded for something you did in a past life everything always comes back to haunt you.

When i started to read further they also said that when you dream things that you dont know whats happening your having memories of what happened in your other life. But theres also the other question of do we go to heaven or hell. Different people believe in different things.
So what really happens after we die?

Type's of Veterinarians -Week Two

My search began a week ago. Discovering what I have found thus far about the Nature of the Work and deciding if this was the right career choice for me, I had to go in more depth of what I as trying to find. This week I have a different part of my search, what type of Veterinarian would I be successful at?

By doing so I’ve typed in “Type’s of Veterinarian’s” into google. Clicking the best option that fitted the description I was looking for was on WikiAnswers- How many types of veterinarians are there. I read the description very stoked about what I was reading it made me think wow there are so many different types. The different types of veterinarian’s they stated were; companion animal vet (dog, cat, exotic pets), shelter animal vet, dairy vet, beef cow, etc. All these types of vets made me wonder, what one would best fit me and what would I enjoy doing? (Wiki.answers.com)(google.com)

Also if you pursue in being one kind of Vet you can “change your mind, or be available to help in another area if needed.” When becoming a Vet you education does not fade away it sticks by your side like peanut butter and jelly sandwich. (Wiki.answers.com)

You can practice Veterinarian studies in several practices. There are Private Practices, Government, Teaching and research, and some work in their own fields. The description I read about in Private Practices sounds interesting. They examine them; perform surgery and dentistry, take blood and urine tests, and manage there own business. (www.animalhealthcare.ca)

Doing my research leads me to my next question. Would I feel comfortable working on animals? Until next time…

The Search Begins..

I started my research by sitting at my computer for about 2 hours doing nothing but staring at it thinking about which website I should type my question into. After debating whether I should do my search now or wait I ended up doing it and going to google. I typed in my question which was "why should hockey fights be banned?" I clicked the first link that was on the page and it took me to some kind of message board where people were throwing in their opinions on the subject.(rootzoo.com) I started to read the comments and what really caught my attention at first was that the person who first commented compared hockey to other sports. For what reason they did that I don't know.

I started to scroll down to read more of the comments to see what other people thought and it seemed as if they were saying the fights shouldn't be banned (which I agree). What fun would hockey be without the physical altercations? A few of the people started to comment about some old players and who they fought and reading them made me remember the one games with Rob Ray(Buffalo Sabres) and Bob Boughner (Calgary Flames) and when they had got into a fight, one of the referees had gotten injured by catching a high stick right to the eye from Ray. Everyone was going crazy and they were all pumped up throwing stuff around and started to high five each other like they all just won the lottery. That brought me back to my question. Why should the fights be banned? They obviously give off energy and get the crowd going.

Well I started to scroll down more further and one person stated that if you take the fighting away from hockey that you might as well get rid of hockey all together. Then you have the people who say it should be banned because it gets too dangerous for the players. What sport now a days Isn't dangerous or doesn't involve some kind of physical contact?

How many gang are in america

I want to yahoo.com and type in my question to answer my inquiry questions.I found out that there are 4,881 gangs in American with 249,324 members that was estimated in 1991. Base on Curry's (1993)Law Enforcement survey.I expected to find different groups of gangs names but i actually found out the number which was also good information.Gangs violence has increased rapidly according to Curry's Law Enforcement.

I had some good experience with this site ,it wasn't frustrating at all.I had a great time on this site and it answer all my questions without me having to go to a lot of sites.

Week One In The Search About Nursing

To start off my search to find out if becoming a nurse would be the right career for me I thought I should ask someone in the career field about nursing. So I asked my aunt who is a lpn, which is the kind of nursing I was interested in, to tell me a little bit about her job.

I asked her about her job while I was at my grandparents house. We were sitting in the living room,I was sitting on their old lumpy couch. She told me she works at a pediatricians office, she takes the weight, height, and blood pressure of the patients. She also gives shots to them. She also told me that she loves working with the children and enjoys her job very much. This didn't help me very much because just because she enjoys being a nurse doesn't me I will. She also told me that in the past she has worked at different nursing homes doing the similar type of things as she does at the pediatricians office. I think I would like working at a nursing home because helping out elderly is why I first became interested in becoming a nurse.

So talking to my aunt didn't really help that much except I think that if nursing is really right for me I would like to work with elderly people in a nursing home. I think to answer my big question I will have to find alot more information about nursing online.

Making the Right Career Choice-Week One

To start my search, I began to do a broad search of Veterinarians. I typed in "Veterinarian" in Google, and all these options came up. I chose to click on the first website. Reading the options it had: Nature of the Work, Training, Other Qualifications, and Advancement, Payment and Job Outlook. What was I going to Choose? I clicked the first option: Nature of the work.

What was I looking for? Reading this selection, it helped me realize what I was looking for. Was I making the right career choice by entering the field of Veterinarian? As I read on I began to figure out so far the search on becoming a Vet was successful. They help animals and humans by looking for diseases that can be in animals that are harmful to humans. Some Veterinarians do Private-practices on large animals and other Vets work in animal hospitals, working on the basic house pets such as cats, dogs, hamsters, etc.

Knowing this information thus far leads to other questions that would further my search. What type of Veterinarian would I be successful at?

What really happens after we die?

I bacame intereted in this topic a while back. Every time i see those t.v. shows about it and after hearig about it all the time it really makes me wonder. I mean where do we go what happens. Nobody can really say exactly where we go or if anything happens to us.

I already know that there has been evidence of reincarnation that people have experienced and came forward about rather its them or someone close to them. Or some people say whoever doesnt get reincarnated their souls just linger the earth.

What really happens after we die? Is there som place that we go to?
Can we reincarnate? How many people has actually
expiernced it? Can people except it?

Should I become a veterinarian?

I became interested in becoming a veterinarian ever since I got my dog 5 years ago. When we took our dog to the veterinarian's office I seen what they do. They clean their ears, check their eyes, mouth and take their temperature, Its kind of like a physical. They also help the animals by bandaging them up when their hurt. Knowing this made me think about helping other animals because I know how much a pet means to a family. If my dog was sick or hurt I know how it feels when there in the care of a vet, reassuring. They care for an animal like it was their own.

What I know about becoming a Veterinarian is that there are all different types. Some for their eyes, and other types, there just like doctors, but for pets. A Vet doesn't only take care of cats and dogs, they take care of wildlife too.

My essential question is should I become a Veterinarian? on the way to answering this "BIG" question there are some foundation questions.
What type of veterinarian would I be successful at? Is this the right career choice? What are some of the procedures do Vets do when performing surgery? Also how much do they make yearly?

What is the difference between teens and adults opinion on abortions?

When I first became Interested...

I first became interested in abortions when I found out that my sister had a complicated labor. She and my niece almost both died because she had a ruptured placenta. She had to have six blood transfusions and it was so bad that she has permanent damage. The doctors told that if she ever got pregnant again she would have to have an abortion because the baby would never develop to full term and if it did there would be a good chance she could die while giving birth. It killed her to know that she would have to have an abortion because she doesn't believe in it.

What i know about abortions is they take an undeveloped child and scrap it out of you. I also know that people have many different opinions on it. Some people are against it and others don't care if people have abortions. From young girls its harder to make to decision if an abortion is the right thing or not because they might think its wrong ,but they also are not really ready for a kid either.

what i would like to know is are teenagers really ignorant to the fact that there are other options besides abortions? And my essential question is, Is there really a difference between teenagers and adults opinions on abortions?

Why Do People Want Fights In The NHL To Be Banned?

I've been into hockey ever since I was little. I didn't know exactly know the whole object of the game but I knew that when our team got the puck in the opposite net we got a point and everyone cheered and jumped around.
The beat part that really caught my attention were the fights. Everyone loves a good old fashioned hockey fight. When the fights happened everyone went nuts and knew that one or both teams would be a man short and that someone was on the verge of scoring.
The reason why I got interested in this topic is because I
simply love hockey. I just don't understand why people are
making a big deal out of nothing and I want to know the reason.
Without the fights what would be the point in watching
or playing hockey?
Those parts in the game are the
most exciting and what draws the fans in.
I know it does to me. Another thing would be if there were no
fights, crosschecking, slashing,high sticking etc..
where would the penalties come into play?
There would be none. So pretty much the game would
be boring and people would basically be
sleeping and wasting their time/money.
There was never a problem until now about
fighting in hockey. Some people say it should be banned but
saying that is almost as pointless as saying ice hockey players
shouldn't play with ice skates. So what I want to find out is why do people
want fights in the NHL to be banned?

Is Nursing The Right Career For Me?

How I Became Interested..

I first became interested in nursing when I was in the seventh grade. My grandma became sick with cancer, and my mom and I would go with her to the hospital with her to all of her doctor appointments. While I was there I would see all of the nurses helping the patients. I decided then that I wanted to be a nurse so that I could help out people too. But I began to wonder if nursing would be the right career for me or if I should choose another where I could also help people.

So far I know that some of licensed practical nurses' jobs are to check blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, give shots, etc. Also I know that lpn's work in hospitals, doctors offices, clinics, long term care facilities, or in home health care. Also to be a nurse you would have to be patient, caring, and friendly towards all of your patients.

I definately want a career where I can help people daily. But recently I have been wondering if there could be some other career that I could be better at and still get to help people. So my essential question is, Is nursing the right career for me?

ESSENTIAL QUESTION

I am interested in gangs because I lost a good friend and my first cousin because they were in a gang. My friend Dellz was the youngest of his gang when he lost his life in a gun fight. He was only 13.And my cousin Tank lost his life when he was sitting in his car chilling some gang just started shooting his car up.

I know that gang killings are at there highest point and now a days gangs are worse then what they were when my parents were growing up.People are taking gangs to the extreme you have family members killing each other just cause they are from different gangs. Its a blessing if you can live pass the age of 13 now a days.

My essential question is, is gangs taking over our society and what can be done to control this?
